Charities & Support for veterans

Our Ongoing Commitment to Supporting Veterans

At Hero Polo, our mission is to support veterans by helping them achieve their goals and complete the projects that matter most to them - especially those that lack sufficient resources. While we acknowledge that our contributions have been modest so far, we are dedicated to making a real difference through our products and efforts. Our aim is to empower veterans to accomplish their dreams and plans, even if we can't yet make large-scale changes in their lives.

Small Contributions, Real Impact

While we acknowledge that our financial donations are small, we believe that every contribution counts. We are proud of the ways we have been able to support individual veterans and small veteran groups with the resources we have.

Personalised Support for Veterans

We have provided direct support to individual veterans in various meaningful ways
  • Partly sponsored by Hero Polo for a 110 mile walk to raise funds for the veterans group, the representative working with us was Mr. Lester, a Army veteran. The materials were carefully selected to ensure comfort for the long journey of the no longer young men, and their satisfaction after the trip really made us happy

  • Not just 1, we sponsored many of Lester's fundraising trips, with many different polo shirt designs
  • For many veterans, we will give them a shirt completely free if our shirt means something to them (of course, they have to go through a time-consuming verification process), besides, we have to realize that this shirt makes their spiritual life happier. At this time, a free Hero Polo shirt is a great gift for them.
  • But unfortunately, we cannot support all cases. Hero Polo is still a veteran-focused business, and depending on the business situation, market demand, and veterans' living standards, the level of support provided at each time is also different. That is why we carefully select veterans to support and the number of veterans supported is not much.
  • With limited resources and modest revenue, Hero Polo is trying its best to increase sales, thereby having more budget to continue supporting veterans' activities more regularly.

Supporting Veteran Clubs and Community Groups

In addition to individual support, we have also extended our assistance to veteran clubs that bring together veterans through shared interests.

Supporting the Veterans Dart Foundation (VDF)

The Veterans Dart Foundation (VDF) is an organisation that brings together veterans passionate about darts. Co-founded by William, a committed veteran and dart player, VDF fosters a sense of community and competition among veterans. William’s dedication and leadership, along with the support of ambassadors Alan Soutar and Deta Hedman, have been vital to the foundation's success.
HeroPolo proudly supports VDF by designing and producing custom polo shirts for its members. These shirts represent different military branches—Army, Navy, RAF, and Tri-Service—and are personalised with each member’s nickname and regional identity, making each one unique. The lightweight, breathable material ensures comfort during matches, and we continue to provide new shirts as more veterans join VDF, reflecting our ongoing commitment to supporting their community activities.

Financial Donations: Modest but Meaningful

We understand that financial contributions can be a sensitive topic, especially when the amounts are modest. In November 2021, we proudly donated a portion of our sales revenue to the Royal British Legion (RBL) to support their vital work with veterans. Although our contribution was modest, it was made with the intention of creating a meaningful impact. We remain committed to transparency and are always open about how and where our donations are directed.

Looking Forward

We are just beginning our journey and as our business grows, so will our commitment to increasing our giving.
